SM BULACAN MALLS IMPLEMENT SAFETY DINE-IN MEASURES

Restaurants and other food merchants at SM Malls in Marilao, San Jose Del Monte, Baliwag and Pulilan have partially resume dine-in services following the directives given by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF).

All food establishments in the mall including SM Food Court are mandated to strictly follow safety and standard health protocols as 30% of the restaurant’s capacity will be allowed for dine-in operations.

Acrylic or clear barriers in between customers are installed in a restaurant at SM City Marilao to minimize physical contact. The Covid19 task force allowed the resumption of dine-in services in restaurants in GCQ areas with restricted 30% capacity and strict health as well as safety protocols.

“SM remains focused on the safety and wellbeing of our shoppers and employees. Service with safety is our new direction” shares SM City Marilao Mall Manager Emmanuel Gatmaitan.

With shopper’s dining safety in mind, everyone is advised to wear face masks, follow diagonal or solo seating to observe safe distancing, and avoid using seats as well as tables with markers. Customers are also encourage to fill out a health checklist provided at the entrances of each establishment.

Sneeze shields at cashiers, and touch-free cashless payment options are likewise mounted to minimize physical contact. Contactless sanitizing stations, one-way foot traffic floor markers, as well as acrylic or clear barriers in between customers are also in place.

SM City Baliwag encourages everyone to observe dining safety by observing safe distancing, solo seating, and avoiding tables or chairs with markers.

Other health protocols, such as temperature check upon entry and regular disinfection of facilities, are strictly observed. Proper health practices including frequent hand washing are reiterated among food staff. Masks and face shields as well as other protective equipment such as gloves are also worn by food servers and staff for safety and sanitation.

Adapting to the "new normal", customers are advised to follow the 3-step dining etiquette: to buy food from mall restaurant, to stay for a quick bite, and to clean as you go.

“New dine-in measures are strictly implemented to comply with the government’s regulation on safety and sanitation and to ensure #SafeMallingAtSM” says SM City San Del Monte Mall Manager Jose Mari Emmanuel Correa.
